Laser treatment for injuries

Laser therapy accelerates the normal biomechanical process to increase blood flow, reduce pain and inflammation, boost cell oxygenation, stimulate an immune system response and enhance ATP production. The new K-Laser technology provides faster, deeper and more efficient treatments. Often laser will be used in conjunction with other treatment modalities such as footwear, orthotics, manual therapy and metatarsal domes.

All Podiatrists at Darwin Podiatry have been certified to use the Class IV K-laser to treat acute/chronic pain, musculoskeletal conditions and onychomycosis (fungal nails)

Treatment can take up to 30 minutes and can be used three times per week for musculoskeletal conditions, not on consecutive days. Darwin Podiatry has been using the K-Laser for over 12 months on musculoskeletal, arthritic conditions and neurological conditions including but not limited to; achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, peroneal tendinopathy, tibialis posterior tendinopathy, general knee pain, patella tendinopathy, multiple arthritic conditions for pain management, post-surgery to reduce scar thickening, chemotherapy induced neuropathic pain and onychomycosis.
